Me and me mum

Well, my 1st blog. Thought while pix was here would be a good time to share what we're up to.

Mum and i in a bed-sit in euston, london for the next month. not sure if we've been diddled or not, but we're paying a *^$*-load of £'s for 1 room with not many features. No heating, no tele, no internet, no laundry and 2 uncomfortable beds. BUT it is central i keep telling mum.

Snow this morning, cold walk into work. Probably a colder ride home on the folding bike - see picture attached for those not familiar with 'the Bickerton'. Its a wonky ride but practical for work and trips to Scotland and Spain. Mum and i heading up to Edinburgh on Saturday for 4 days. 6 Nations Rugby's on up there, so it might be a bit crazier than usual. Not sure what we'll get up to. Look at the castle, i suppose and go to some museums. We're staying in backpackers, mums 1st experience of hostelling. We're both looking forward to the train trip, one of the worlds great train trips apparently.

Mums been keeping herself busy, even with a bout of bronchitis. Soldiering on like a true Aussie battler. Seeing all the sights, returning home each night arms full with brochures and information about all sorts of things. The museum of body parts, Di's flower garden, Buckingham Palace, Jack the Ripper, the guards that don't change on time...
We saw a fantastic show on Saturday 'The Woman in Black'. the 1st thriller i'd seen on stage before. Think we might be going to a show either tonight or tomorrow as well.
Other things we've got planned, an audience for the BBC radio and tv. Oxford, Cambridge, trip to Bath with Olivia and James, a week in Spain (near Barcelona), couple of pints here and there, lots of walking.
